Our Sections

OUR MISSION

The coordination, promotion and protection of the national interests of Ghana in the countries to which the High Commission is accredited.
The countries are:

  1. South Africa
  2. Lesotho
  3. Mauritius
  4. Seychelles
  5. Eswatini

The High Commissioner is resident in Pretoria, South Africa and is concurrently accredited to the other countries.

CONSULAR SECTION

The objective of the Consular Section is to provide efficient services to Ghanaians and non-Ghanaian in South Africa, Lesotho, Eswatini, Mauritius and Seychelles who are interested in exploring business and tourism opportunities in Ghana.

The Consular section offers the following services:

    • Visa
    • Passport
    • Attestation
    • Travel Certificate
    • Dual Citizenship
    • International Press Accreditation 
  2. Welfare Functions
    • Organization of the Ghanaian community in South Africa and countries of concurrent accreditation
    • Prison visits
    • Evacuation of Ghanaians
    • Hospital visits
    • Assistance to stranded Ghanaians to return to Ghana e.g. stowaways and illegal immigrants
    • Consular visits to Immigration detention camps
    • Repatriation of Mortal Remains of Ghanaians to Ghana
  3. Organization of the Ghanaian community in South Africa and countries of concurrent accreditation
