NEW REQUIREMENT FOR ETC
EMERGENCY TRAVEL CERTIFICATE
The Ghana High Commission in Pretoria, South Africa, would like to inform all Ghanaians to take note that with effect from Tuesday, 19th April 2022. All applicants requesting for Emergency Travel Certificates (ETC) must be present for the process. Children must be accompanied by at least one parent with the necessary consent letter signed by both parents.
Also, applicants must provide their original Passports/Birth Certificates in addition to copies of same, before their ETC can be process.
The Ghana High Commission in Pretoria, South Africa, would like all Ghanaian resident permit holders to take note that, the Ghana Immigration Service has waived penalties charged on expired Residence Permits for persons whose Permits expired while outside the country due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Consequently, all Ghanaian Residence Permit holders whose permits expired whilst outside the country and due to the Covid-19 pandemic, will not be required to pay the requisite penalties on their return to Ghana.
