His Excellency Mr. George Ayisi-Boateng, High Commissioner of the Republic of Ghana to South Africa inaugurated the Grace Presbyterian Church of Ghana in Pretoria, South Africa on Sunday 5th January 2020. The inaugural service was held at Ancore Building Center 85 Steve Biko Street, Sunnyside.
The High Commissioner, who is a Presbyterian was among thirty-six adults and six children who attended the service. Delivering the sermon on the theme, My identity in Christ (Ephesians 1:1-23), Pastor Immanuel Langman of Elim Full Gospel Church of God also in Pretoria(South Africa), admonished members to let their identity in Christ be known, in order to transform lives of people in the city and the world at large.
Reverend E.k. Sarbah of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana and a PhD student at the University of Pretoria is currently the Minister in charge of the congregation.
The High Commissioner prior to the inaugural service, presented dozens of branded Presbyterian T-shirts to the new congregation.
After closing from the inaugural service, He visited three (3) Ghanaian churches namely, Christ Apostolic Church of Ghana (CAC), Assemblies of God Church and the Church of Pentecost all in Pretoria. He extended New Year greetings to them and admonished them to continue to be law abiding.
