On the 1st of October 2025, President John Dramani Mahama officially commissioned eleven new Ghanaian envoys to represent the nation across the world. Among them was Mr Benjamin Kofi Quashie, who now serves as Ghana’s High Commissioner to South Africa
The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Jubilee House in Accra, following the granting of agrément by the receiving State- South Africa.
Speaking to journalists after the ceremony, Mr. Quashie expressed heartfelt gratitude to President Mahama for the honor and trust. He pledged to uphold Ghana’s image, strengthen bilateral relations, and promote economic diplomacy that benefits both Ghana and South Africa.
