
The Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), in collaboration with the Ghana High Commission in Pretoria held a maiden webinar on the theme “Ghana is Open for Business: Unlocking Opportunities for Investors”. The webinar, which was targeted at the South African Business Community took place virtually on 11th November, 2025, at 11.00 AM South African Standard Time (SAST). It attracted investors, chambers of commerce, captains of business and Industry from South Africa with a view to exploring investment opportunities within Ghana’s dynamic business landscape.
In his remarks, High Commissioner Quashie emphasised the significance of investing in Ghana, particularly highlighting the country’s stable political environment, well-educated workforce, and investor-friendly atmosphere. He noted the crucial role of Agriculture in Ghana’s economy, particularly its contribution to Gross Domestic Product and employment.
He highlighted the Government’s efforts in attracting investors for value addition in the agricultural sector to create jobs for the teeming youth. The High Commissioner also reaffirmed the strong diplomatic relations between Ghana and South Africa, which he mentioned had culminated in important bilateral initiatives, for the mutual benefit of the two countries.
Towards this end, the High Commissioner invited attendees to leverage the webinar to enable them to gain insights into Ghana’s investment landscape for mutually beneficial relationships. On the security of their investments, he assured attendees of the protection of investors under the GIPC Act 2013, Act 865.
