His Excellency Benjamin Anani Quashie, High Commissioner of Ghana to South Africa, paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Mr Salih Omar Abdu, Ambassador of Eritrea and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in South Africa. The purpose of the visit was to formally announce his arrival in South Africa to assume his duties and to seek insights from the Dean’s 15 years of extensive experience in the country at the high-level of an Ambassador.

In response, the Dean expressed his appreciation to High Commissioner Quashie for the courtesy call and assured him of his willingness to collaborate on issues of mutual interest between Ghana and Eritrea. Furthermore, the Dean warmly invited High Commissioner Quashie to join the Diplomatic Group of Ambassadors, explaining that this platform would provide an invaluable opportunity to engage with the experiences and perspectives of fellow Ambassadors, particularly regarding the political situations in their respective countries.

The courtesy call concluded with a fruitful discussion on recent developments in both countries.
