At the invitation of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, His Excellency Benjamin Anani Quashie, High Commissioner of Ghana to South Africa, led staff of the High Commission of Ghana in Pretoria, to participate in Akwesidae, held in Johannesburg, South Africa on Sunday, 15th March, 2026.
Akwesidae is an Ashanti festival held by the Ashantis of Ghana every sixth Sunday on the Ashanti calendar, during which all and sundry are allowed to pay homage to the revered King, as he sits in state.
