President Cyril Ramaphosa, on his part, emphasised that South Africa’s constitutional commitments to democracy, the rule of law and human rights were enduring principles that guided both domestic governance and international engagements. He reiterated the Government of South Africa’s dedication to fostering a more just, equitable and peaceful global order and underscored the importance of mutual respect for sovereignty, non‑interference and quiet, constructive diplomacy.
The President urged incoming envoys and South African representatives abroad to promote bilateral trade, cultural exchanges and people‑to‑people ties while exercising tact and discretion befitting diplomatic engagements. He also expressed appreciation for the continued support of partner countries, invoked the fellowship of countries, and reaffirmed South Africa’s readiness to be a dependable partner in the pursuit of shared prosperity, peace and friendship.
