High Commissioner Quashie Observes Pan-African Parliamentary Elections Held in Midrand, South Africa.

On 30th April, 2026, the High Commissioner of the Republic of Ghana to South Africa, His Excellency Benjamin Anani Quashie joined representatives of Ghana’s Parliament at the Pan-African Parliament to observe its elections held at the 7th Extraordinary Session of the Pan-African Parliament held in Midrand, South Africa. Emerging victorious at the elections for the position of 2nd Vice President was Ghana’s Parliamentarian for Korley Klottey Constituency, Honourable Zanetor Agyeman Rawlings, with 131 votes cast in her favour as against her competitor from Gabon with 51votes, resulting in her overwhelming victory. In her victory speech, Honourable Agyeman Rawlings assured Parliamentarians from various caucuses of her willingness to work closely with them to promote the aspirations of the Pan-African Parliament.
