The Ghana High Commission in Pretoria wishes to inform the general public that His Excellency Mr. Benjamin Quashie, High Commissioner–Designate of the Republic of Ghana to the Republic of
South Africa, has officially assumed duty at the Mission with effect from Thursday, 2nd October 2025.
H.E. Mr. Quashie assumes this important role at a time when the bilateral relations between Ghana and South Africa continue to grow from strength to strength across various sectors including trade,
investment, education, and cultural exchange.

As High Commissioner, H.E. Mr. Quashie will lead the Mission’s efforts in strengthening diplomatic ties between the two countries, promoting Ghana’s foreign policy objectives, and deepening cooperation within the framework of the African Union and other multilateral platforms. He will also work closely with the Ghanaian diaspora community in South Africa to promote their welfare and enhance their contributions to national development.

The High Commission extends its warmest congratulations to H.E. Mr. Quashie on the assumption of his duties and looks forward to a successful tenure marked by mutual collaboration and shared progress.
