A six-member delegation of Pastors from the Assemblies of God Church, led by Rev Charles N.D. Forkuoh, Resident Pastor for Assemblies of God Church, Pretoria, paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Benjamin Anani Quashie, Ghana’s High Commissioner to South Africa, at his office on 5th November, 2025, to congratulate him on his appointment and offer prayers to God for a successful tenure.
The delegation had earlier participated in the Team Challenge Conference, which took place in Cape Town from 20th to 24th October, 2025. The Team Challenge is a conference dedicated to enhancing the well-being of individuals facing challenges related to drug addiction. It emphasises rehabilitation and empowerment, drawing inspiration from the teachings of the Gospel of Christ.
The High Commissioner, on his part, expressed his gratitude to the delegation for the visit and acknowledged the significant role the Church played during the recent elections, which were adjudged fairly free from electoral violence. He emphasised the Church’s role as a partner in development and encouraged the church to consider establishing schools. This initiative, according to the High Commissioner, was necessary not only to help instill cultural values in the Ghanaian children but also to contribute to their educational advancement.
High Commissioner Quashie articulated that the involvement of churches in providing quality education for children was essential in propelling Ghana toward its next phase of development.
