In a proud and historic moment, H.E Benjamin Anani Quashie, Ghana’s High Commissioner to South Africa, together with staff of the Ghana High Commission in Pretoria, warmly welcomed His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, on his arrival at the airport in Johannesburg on 4th February, 2026.
In keeping with Ghanaian hospitality and tradition, His Majesty was graciously received and later conveyed to the Residence for a brief engagement with the High Commissioner and members of his staff.
The visit underscores the meaningful intersection of Ghana’s revered traditional authority and diplomatic engagement, further strengthening the cultural ties between Ghana and South Africa.
