A three-member delegation from a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) known as Young African Great Minds, representing Ghana, Zambia, and South Africa, visited His Excellency Benjamin Anani Quashie at his office on 6th November, 2025.

The purpose of the visit was to, among other things, congratulate the High Commissioner on his well-deserved appointment and to share insights into the organisation’s initiatives, which were crucial in addressing the menace of drug abuse and related vices affecting the continent.

In response, the High Commissioner expressed his appreciation for the visit and, in particular, commended them for the activity of visiting schools to engage with the youth.

On the structure of the organisation, High Commissioner Quashie was praiseworthy for the diversity in its leadership. He, however, noted that their commitment to tackling drug abuse and related social vices closely aligned with the mission of a foundation he personally formed. Finally, he encouraged the delegation to remain steadfast in their commendable efforts, despite any challenges they may encounter along the way.
